HOUSTON COUPLES & PARENTING THERAPIST
Rachel Goldstein, MA, LMFT-A
(She/her)
PARENTHOOD DOESN’T LOOK THE WAY YOU IMAGINED.
Whether you’re recovering from birth trauma, welcoming a new child, facing disheartening infertility treatments, or grieving a miscarriage, you and/or your partner are carrying more than you can name. Each day asks more from you, and you’re already exhausted, wondering how much longer you can keep it all up.
You want to feel present for this journey, but you feel pulled away by intrusive worries, haunted by nightmares, or weighed down by a sense of emptiness. Perhaps you’re craving more support from family, grieving the loss of what you hoped parenthood would be, or noticing the glaring gaps in your own childhood as you raise your little ones.
HEALING WHILE YOU BUILD YOUR VILLAGE
I’m here to help you create a space to release the weight you’ve been carrying, find practical resources and community to support your family, and begin to redefine what parenthood and partnership can look like for you.
If you want to strengthen your relationship as you try to conceive, bring a new baby home, or add another little one into the mix, you’re welcome here. I’ll help you feel more grounded and connected so you can show up how you most wish to be: as partners, as (future) parents, and as wholehearted people.
ADVOCACY AT THE HEART, VOICE FOR THE UNSPOKEN
Advocacy for those who have been marginalized, silenced, or taken advantage of is at the heart of how I show up. And it’s the energy I bring to every layer of supporting you and your family.
As a Jewish therapist, a daughter of a refugee, and a mother of a deeply feeling child, I know how personal and generational history shapes the way you experience parenthood, marriage, your own identity, and the world at large.
I believe one of the most powerful forces for healing comes from having space to name the invisible—the loss, the anger, the rage—especially when these experiences are connected to marginalization, oppression, or injustice.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and centered on your needs.
RACHEL GOLDSTEIN, COUPLES & PARENTING THERAPIST
Drawing from Collaborative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and the Gottman Method, I help you explore what matters most in your life, relationships, trauma history, and parenting journey. I never force a topic – you define what’s important.
As a super-researcher, you can count on me to help connect you with resources and communities. While your own healing is essential, so is having a support network around you when you need it most.

Fun Facts
As a wife and mom to a very imaginative and deeply feeling preschooler, I'm constantly finding trinkets in my pockets, peanut butter smudges on my clothes, and books from the library for us to hopefully read at bedtime tonight.
I spent a year working abroad in Israel, where living in a place connected to my ancestry and immersing myself in the culture helped me discover deeper layers of my identity.
I’m an East Coast transplant who still misses living close to both the beaches and mountains.
