HOUSTON BREAKUP RECOVERY THERAPIST

Emily Daily, MEd

LPC Associate, Supervised by Charisse Ferrer, LPC-S

Your heart has shattered into a million pieces.

You’re in the middle of a breakup or a messy divorce — and it’s nearly impossible to focus on anything else. Your mind spirals with what you did wrong, the hurtful words they said, and how your future looks so different now.

Not only is your relationship over, but your sense of self feels shaky. You’re left with deeper fears and insecurities — "Will I ever find love? How can I put myself out there again? How do I make sure I don’t make the same mistakes?”

Whether your relationship ended due to values differences or a deep betrayal, I’ll hold space with care and sensitivity. We’ll grieve what’s been lost, prepare for a new future, and navigate what it might look like if/when you are ready to date. Most importantly, I’ll support you in feeling whole again, reminding you of your strength, wisdom, and inherent worth.

Emily’s Specialties

Recovery From Betrayal, Abuse, And Trauma

The trauma is over, but it still plays out in your mind, body, and relationships. You might struggle with trust, intimacy, or boundaries - or feel on edge, numb, or disconnected from your body. The biggest question you hold, though, is whether a happy future is even possible for you.

I am here to hold space not only for your stories of strength and survival but also for the deep pain beneath them. I can support you in releasing the burdens of the past, making sense of your present symptoms, and creating a future filled with hope, meaning, and self-trust.

Rural Communities: When Care Isn’t There

Raised in rural Texas, I understand the power of a tight-knit community - and the reality of what it’s like when mental health support simply isn’t there. Limited access can lead to families who never talk about trauma or emotions, whether because of a lack of understanding or the belief that nothing can change.

If this was your experience, I can help you make sense of what you went through and understand yourself more deeply. Together, we’ll create a shame-free space for the parts of your story that were silenced in childhood to finally be heard.

Work with EMILY

We will name what’s been lost, make sense of your new future, and explore what helps you feel grounded and whole.

EMILY DAILY, THERAPY FOR DATING AND BREAKUPS

My approach is grounded, compassionate, and trauma-informed. Drawing from therapeutic modalities like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and DBT, I help you find solutions alongside caring for what needs attention and healing.

Together, we’ll try different approaches until we find what works, with the understanding that your needs may shift over time, and that’s okay. I’ll help you move towards deeper healing and wholeness with sensitivity and care.
